Farmer, 69, died falling through roof of cowshed

An investigation has been launched into the death of an Irish farmer.

A farmer from Ireland suffered fatal injuries after falling through a cowshed roof while working on a farm in County Cavan.

 

The 69-year-old fell shortly after 12:30pm yesterday (September 30) and was pronounced dead at the scene.

 

A spokesperson from the Health and Safety Authority (HSA) said inspectors have been sent to the scene and an investigation is underway.
