Farmers Guardian VIP members can now use a new legal helpdesk which will entitle subscribers to half an hour of free legal advice on any single topic.
The phone-based service, run by legal firm Napthens, can be used for an unlimited number of legal queries.
Launching today (December 4), the service aims to help Farmers Guardian VIP members tackle any issues facing their business.
Napthens’ team of rural specialists provide a range of advice covering agricultural law and other legal issues affecting farmers, their families and employees, plus landowners and rural businesses of all kinds. It is one of 15 NFU Legal Panel firms in the UK.
As well as a dedicated rural department, the team includes several solicitors from a range of services with expertise in the agricultural sector. In particular, this includes employment, corporate and construction specialists and a team of litigation experts who deal with all aspects of property and tenancy cases in relation to agricultural matters.
FG editor Emma Penny said: “This is a great addition to our VIP membership. We often receive calls from readers who are facing legal problems, so being able to provide access to specialist advice via their Farmers Guardian membership will be a great benefit. We will shortly be appointing Scottish and Northern Irish firms to deal with queries in those countries.”
Napthens head of real estate and partner Jamie Allison said: “We are delighted to be asked to pioneer another area of legal services in serving the Farmers Guardian readership. This is yet another example of how we adapt to the needs of the legal services market and how we service our client base.”
