George Eustice MP has kept his role as Minister of State at Defra following Theresa May’s reshuffle.
Mr Eustice has been promoted to minister of state and will work alongside new Defra Secretary Andrea Leadsom. Both Mr Eustice and Mrs Leadsom campaigned for the UK to leave the European Union.
At the weekend, Dr Thérèse Coffey MP replaced Rory Stewart MP as a minister at Defra. Dr Coffey was Suffolk’s first female MP when she succeeded John Gummer in the Suffolk Coastal seat in 2010.
As an MP she has chaired the All-Party Group on Coastal & Marine and held office on other groups such as beer, renewable and sustainable energy, and people who live of the gas grid.
Lord Gardiner was also promoted from a spokesman to a Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State.
