Gisburn Auction Mart has confirmed its Thursday and Saturday sales are back up and running.
The Mart will relaunch its weekly sales tomorrow (May 17) with regular sales being held going forward.
It follows weeks of closure since May 5 when the Animal and Plant Health Agency revoked its operating licence after a single ewe and its lamb were reported to be grazing a field opposite the market where effluent from the previous Thursday’s primestock and dairy sale had been applied by sprinkler system.
A spokesman said: “We would like to thank all the staff for their hard work and customers of Gisburn Auction for your understanding and support; your loyalty is outstanding.”
