Running from July 9-15, The Yes Peas! Campaign, which is run by British Growers, has announced its plans of how they are to honour the Great British pea this week.

In conjunction with Hatch PR and funded by growers, freezers and machinery from the vining pea sector, a pop-up Pea café, The Pea Palace, will run for one day at the Canvas café in Hanbury Street, London.

Theme

Visitors will have the chance to see live streamed video of the pea harvest and as well as pea-themed decorations, sample delicacies inspired by the vegetable, such as pea and mint ice cream cooked by celebrity chef and Yes Peas! Ambassador, Rachel Green.

There will also be growers present, ready to offer knowledge about the pea sector and share their passion for the industry.

To raise more awareness, peas will be taking to the streets on a three-wheeled Pea-dal Power tricycle, ridden by a life-sized pea pod handing out information.

The week is part of a consumer awareness campaign aiming to promote the benefits of frozen peas and will take to social media to highlight the cause.
