THE L and K Group, the owner of North West Auctions (NWA), which operates Lancaster auction market and J36 Rural Auction Centre at Crooklands has announced the appointment of Paul Gentry as farmstock manager across both sites.
John Geldard, a director of the L. and K. Group said: “I have known Paul since he left school and started at Banbury market. I have always been impressed with his enthusiasm and drive and over the years he has developed a tremendous knowledge of the industry.
“I am delighted that we have been able to engage him to in our business to support and lead our already very strong young team.
"We have spent a lot of time and effort securing and sustaining the facilities at J36 and Lancaster for the benefit of the livestock industry in the north west and it is important that we have the right people in place to take it forward.”
Mr Gentry said: “I am absolutely buzzing. I am really looking forward to working with the team at NWA. It is already a great business with fantastic facilities so the only way is up.
“As part of the businesses’ expansion NWA will also be working in conjunction with Melton Mowbray market to run pedigree cattle and sheep sales in the midlands which will give me the opportunity to retain many of my existing clients.”
