The articulation joint features movement in two directions; 40 degrees of steering angle and 10 degrees of oscillation (sideways pivot). On standard tyres, the inner turning circle is said to be 2.5m, with an overall height less than 2.5m.

At maximum articulation, the 535 has a full turn tipping load of 3,450kg, while the 639 can manage 3,850kg.

As with its bigger brothers, the boom features a ‘Z’-shaped linkage mechanism offering parallel lift of the attachment a high tear out force, says the manufacturer. The firm is also looking into the possibility of offering a telescopic boom version.

Hydraulic pump capacity is 70 litres/minute (535) and 77 litres/minute (639), both with an operating pressure of 230 bar.

For visibility, the cab features a full height front windscreen rounded rear windows. Steering column is infinitely adjustable, says the manufacturer, with all controls laid out and colour coded on the right hand side.

Retail starting price of the new Torions is £64,580 for the 535 and £72.650 for the 639.
