Strong bidding for Ford and Case IH modern classic tractors

Auction house Cheffins says a strong online bidding presence coupled with a vast attendance prompted fierce bidding wars for the choice lots presented at the Cowle Collection sale.

Auctioneer and director Oliver Godfrey says the quality offered on the day was exemplary and a credit to the Cowle family, whose collection has been built up since the 1980s by Rodney Cowle and his son, Steve.

“The Cowle Collection catalogue generated a huge buzz pre-sale and the auction did not disappoint with a huge attendance and lively bidding. Credit has to go to the Cowle family as the tractors have been beautifully maintained over the years and they rightly attracted good prices.”

The family’s decision to disperse the whole collection was to pursue other business interests and they were delighted with the results and prices achieved, some of which are thought to be records. Bar one red example, all tractors for sale were Ford or derivatives of the blue brand.

Prices given are the hammer price and do not include VAT or buyers premium at 5 per cent.
