Heath and Safety chiefs are investigating after two men died while working with slurry at a farm in Leicestershire.
The men, aged 19 and 35 died at Church Farm, Normanton Lane, Normanton, near Bottesford on Thursday December 22.
The Health and Safety Executive launched an investigation into the cause of the incident. A spokesman told Farmers Guardian said this was still ongoing today (January 3).
Leicestershire Police were called to the farm at 4.30pm on December 22. A spokesman said officers were carrying out inquiries on behalf of the coroner.
It is believed the two men had become trapped in the tank and the fire service tried to cut them free.
In a separate incident in Ireland, a man in his 80s died while working with a tractor on Monday January 2.
Gardai police said the incident happened at about 11.20am near Adamstown, New Ross.
