To mark its 75th anniversary, JCB has published a 144 page book featuring more than 400 photos.
The ‘JCB Scrapbook’, created by Martin Port, it charts the business’ history from the first trailer, produced from post-war scrap metal in 1945, to the latest line-up of electric-powered machinery.
Featuring images from the company’s own archives, many of which have never been seen before, it runs through some of the company’s most iconic machines and their impact, including the 3C back hoe digger, Loadall telehandler and Fastrac tractors.
JCB Chairman Lord Bamford says: “This book, I hope, will act as a celebration of the past 75 years; the innovations, the engineering excellence, and the achievements of all those who have made up the wider JCB family from its inception in 1945.
“I hope, too, that it will serve as inspiration for the next generation – those talented young people currently rising through the colleges and universities, including our very own JCB Academy.”
