Kitrob Texels sell to 3,200gns

THE Kitrob Texel flock of D.R. and D.P. Jones, Gwynedd, held its production sale at Carlisle.

Prices hit 3,200gns paid firstly for a February-born ewe lamb by Sportsmans Tremendous II and of a ewe by Carran Upper Class. It sold to S.W. Cobbald, Acton, who also paid 3,000gns for another ewe lamb bred the same way.
J. and D. Lewis, Sandbach, paid 2,000gns for another Tremendous-sired ewe lamb which it out a ewe by Baltier Vampire.
A ewe lamb by Tremendous out of a Baltier Panther daughter made 1,950gns to M. Dent, Bishop Auckland.
At 1,700gns, was a shearling ewe by Panther out of a ewe by Haddo Ignitor, which was knocked down to M.R. and J.E. Davies, Lancaster.

AVERAGES

17 aged ewes, £641.74; 32 shearling gimmers, £681.84; 27 ewe lambs, £883.56.
