Following the introduction of its 6m folding cultivator U-Drill 6000, Kverneland has added new 3m and 4m rigid models to its range.
The manufacturer says that both machines have been specially developed, and are not just a scaled down version of the 6m machine.
They feature electrically driven seed metering, and are available in both grain only and combined grain/fertiliser versions, the latter are ‘Plus’ models. The hopper on Plus models is divided lengthways, with metering units located on either side of the hopper.
Both machines use six working zones, with an 800mm front packer, two rows of conical discs, offset wheel packer, 12.5cm spaced coulters with up to 100kg pressure, and finally a following harrow to level the soil.
Kverneland say the machine is designed to maintain even sowing depths at forward speeds of up to 18kph.
Like the smaller models, U-Drill 6000 is now available in Plus specification.
New control options for the range include programmable headland management and GEOcontrol for variable rate seeding and section control.
The 3m U-Drill 3000, priced from £47,000, will be on display at Tillage-Live in September.
