Kverneland gives LO ploughs Max spec option

Bringing additional features and functionality, Kverneland’s on-land/in-furrow fully-mounted LO plough is now available in the firm’s Max specification.

Max spec sees a pivoting cross shaft added to the plough’s headstock. This allows it to pivot through 45 degrees and follow like a trailer, when in transport. At the back, a wide-section, 420/55 R17 swivel wheel replaces the previous twin-wheel assembly.

In addition, road lights are now integrated, using a lightbar that attaches to the rear bodies when the plough is in its butterfly position. This assembly can be unplugged and stowed on the side of the plough beam, when in work.

Protecting the valve block and hydraulic cylinders from contamination and improving the plough’s hydraulic system longevity, the manufacturer has integrated a cartridge-type oil filter into the plough’s pressure line.

Optional extras include landside knives, skimmer extensions, twin mouldboard stays, a 500mm (20in) rear disc and a frame strengthening kit.

The plough comes in five, six and seven-furrow variations, with hydraulic furrow width adjustment from 300 to 500mm. Underbeam clearance is 800mm, while interbody clearance can be 850mm or 1,000mm.

A five-furrow vari-width LO Max with 850mm clearance, is priced from £38,953.
