Limousins sell to 27,000gns at Carlisle

The Limousin spring sale at Carlisle topped at 27,000gns for Allanfauld Nemesis, from Archie and John MacGregor, Kilsyth.

The first prize-winning November 2017-born son of Loosebeare Fantastic, out of Allanfauld Elegance, sold to Messrs Howie, Peterhead.

 

Next, at 25,000gns, from Bruce Goldie, Mouswald, was the reserve intermediate champion, November 2017-born Goldies Neymar, by Ampertaine Jamboree, out of Goldies Fragrance. It went to Messrs Owens, Newtown.

 

The Goldies took 16,000gns for Goldies Ohboy, a January 2018-born son of Wilodge Vantastic, out of Millington Gorgeous, which went to Messrs Neale, Launceston.

 

Making 15,000gns from the Haltcliffe herd, Wigton, was first prize-winner, December 2017-born Haltcliffe Navigator, by Sympa. The buyers were Messrs Harvey and Son, Norwich.

The intermediate and reserve overall champion, Wilodge Ninja, by Grahams Lorenzo, consigned by Christine and Paul Tippetts, Shifnal, sold for 14,000gns to Moir Livestock, Fraserburgh.

 

Also at this money was first prize-winner, Dyfri Nomad, by Fenomen, from D.G. and M.J. Edwards and Son, Llandovery, which sold to Messrs Jones and Son, Montgomery.

 

Females were topped by the Goldies, who sold Goldies Norma, an April 2017-born daughter of Goldies Fortress, out of Goldies Freestyle, to Messrs Morrison, Banff.

 

Making 13,000gns was March 2018-born Ampertaine Odell, by Ampertaine Elgin, consigned by W.J. and J. McKay, Maghera, Co Derry.

 

It was bought by Messrs Ewing on behalf of a client.

31 senior bulls, £5,466.94 (+£210.58); 36 intermediate bulls, £7,433.13 (+£60.79); 36 junior bulls, £6,025.83 (-£549.44); 103 bulls overall, £6,349.49 (-£173.97); 8 cows and heifers served and/or suckling, £2,145.94; 8 served heifers, £3,963.75; 86 maiden heifers, £2,481.54.
