A four-year-old sheepdog has travelled 240 miles to be reunited with his original owners in Wales.

Pero, a working dog from Aberystwyth, had been sent to a sheep farm in Cockermouth on a trial run as his owners thought he would be perfect for the job.

Sat-Nav

Pero’s owner, father-of-five Alan James’ told the Wales News Service: "It was amazing but we have no idea how he did it. He must have a Sat-Nav in his brain.

"A sheepdog can go all day and cover a lot of ground. But it is a mystery how he found his way here.

"We don’t know how he was fed or if he hitched a lift. It was incredible when he turned up on a doorstep.

Loyalty

"We would love to solve the mystery of how he managed it.”

Alan and his wife Shan, were so overwhelmed by Pero’s loyality, they have decided to welcome him back home for good.
