Man seriously injured at Yorkshire Halal Meats factory

A man in his 20s was taken to Leeds General Infirmary by air ambulance.

 

West Yorkshire police confirmed they had received reports at 11.36 this morning (February 15) a man had been injured at the factory on Wakefield Road, Osset.

 

A spokesman said: "Police were called to reports of a man being injured with a knife at Yorkshire Halal on Wakefield Road, Ossett around 11:36 today.

 

"Following enquiries, a man in his 30s was arrested in connection with the assault and is now in police custody."

 

“A man in his 20s has been taken to Leeds General Infirmary by air ambulance – his injuries are not thought to be life threatening.

 

“Emergency services are currently at the scene and enquiries are ongoing to establish the circumstances.”

According to Yorkshire Gritters, the Crime Scene Investigation unit are also at the scene.
