National South Devon Show sees Oliver Brewin clinch top spot

The South Devon Society saw a strong number of entries in it’s Performance Championships which was judged by Devon’s Colin Edwards.

Champion

The winning rosette went to 24-year old Oliver Brewin, Leicestershire with his male champion, North View Claudius.

 

The June-2013 born Welland Valley Crusader son is out of Mr Brewin's foundation cow, Welland Valley Claudia 6.

 

It was first in it's class at Three Counties Show and third at the National Show at Bath and West and will be sold at the society's Autumn sale at Cirencester Livestock Centre.

 

Reserve

 

Reserve was the female champion AI Kestle Dahlia 73 from Roger and Adrian Rundle, Cornwall.

 

The 17-month old AI Grove Bellerophon 3 daughter is out of the former National Show champion Kestle Dahlia 60 and took first prize at this year's Cornwall Show.

 

The Rundle family's success continued securing the reserve male spot with the 14-month old Kestle Emperor 3.

 

It was champion at Smithfield last year and is a Wellend Valley Hadrian 5 son, out of Kestle Dorothy 159.

 

Reserve female went to Malcolm and Thelma Broome, Leicestershire with Wellend Valley Claudia 12. It is housed alongside the champion, with Mr Brewin working for the Broome family and is a Wellend Valley Trident 1 daughter, out of Wellend Valley Claudia 2.
