Crisp Malting Group has announced the appointment of a new managing director. Adrian Dyter, global category manager at Carlsberg, will succeed Euan Macpherson early next summer.
Chief executive David Thompson says the Anglia Maltings Holdings directors are looking forward to welcoming Mr Dyter in the New Year.
Mr Thompson says: “His skills and experience are ideally suited to the role. He is very familiar with the company as a competitor and, more recently, as a customer and this will give him a good head start.”
Mr Macpherson will be retiring after 29 years and a lifetime career embracing the brewing, distilling and malting industries.
The company expanded significantly under his guidance, acquiring maltings in Alloa, Clackmannanshire and Mistley, Essex and establishing a very strong relationship with barley growers.
He was also directly responsible for building up the export trade to USA and Japan.
Mr Thompson says: “Mr Macpherson’s development of sales to the burgeoning craft brewing sector at home and abroad has been unstinting and this is reflected in the volume and diversification of sales.
“At the core of the business is a great team - hardworking, dedicated and committed to the best standards – and Mr Dyter will be well supported in his endeavours to further develop the company and its support to customers.”
