A trio of new centre records were set at the North West Texel Club sale at J36 sale with new top prices set for gimmers, ram lambs and ewe lambs.
Setting a new centre record of 5,500gns was a gimmer from Messr Bradley’s Far Hey flock, Barnoldswick. The daughter of 70,000gns Teiglum Younggun out of a dam by Anglezarke Uno was knocked down to Adam and Jessica Neachell, Staffordshire.
Next best in the females at 2,000gns was the first prize ewe lamb from from Richard Wilson’s Eden Valley flock, Applebly. By Aldan Blockbuster and another out of an Anglezarke Uno-sired dam, it sold to Emma Carr, Kent.
At 1,500gns from the same pen was an Auldhouseburn Bolt daughter out of a Knock Yankee-sired dam which was the pick of Alistair Jackson, Cummertrees, Dumfrieshire.
Topping the older ewes at 1,000gns a Forth House Winston daughter from the Forth House flock of I. Jaeban, Cockermouth, which sold to the Neachells.
Setting a new centre ram lamb record at 2,500gns from Peter Woof, Kendal, was Stainton Cruiser, an Auldhouseburn Bolt son out of a dam by Knock Yankee which sold with an index of 156 to Kevin Cochrane, Darwen.
At 2,000gns from Richard Wilson was Eden Valley Conrad, another by Auldhouseburn Bolt and out of a dam by Feddal Road Yoohoo. It sold with an index of 189 to Mr Jaeban.
Shearling rams topped at 1,300gns for Meinspride Buster from Angela Nairey, Blackburn. This Moorgate Yoda son was taken by R. Mason, Out Rawcliffe, Preston.
