Designed to help users get their heads around controlling both a front and rear mounted fertiliser spreader, Amazone has created specific control software.
Due to an increasing number of operators using a front and rear mounted fertiliser spreader combination, Amazone has come up with simplified control software to help users get their head around this mind-taxing situation.
As opposed to spreading blended fertilisers through just one fertiliser spreader mounted at the rear, the twin fertiliser spreader option offers the opportunity to set up each spreader optimally to the properties of the relevant fertiliser, says the manufacturer, enabling a better lateral distribution for both fertilisers.
However, this throws up a number of control challenges for the front-mounted unit, as all functions will be the wrong way round, and not correspond to the rear spreader.
To relieve the operator of having to work all this out, Amazone has developed in-house software for the front mounting of its ZA-V or ZA-TS spreaders where spreading functions are displayed in reverse.
This mirrors all the rear spreaders’ functions including boarder and section control. Due to the spread patterns, shut off points are also taken into account, with the front spreader shut down or turned back on way ahead of the rear spreader.
For transport, the manufacturer also offers an in-house lighting kit for the front and rear spreaders.
