Dunbia has launched three dedicated training and development programmes to help ‘shape and enhance’ the future skills of the UK’s meat processing industry.
Through part of its nationwide graduate programme for 2020, Dunbia’s ‘Brighter Futures’ is on the lookout for graduates with a keen interest in the whole Dunbia business.
The two-year scheme would guide students through: livestock procurement, manufacturing operations, food safety and quality, sales and commercial, engineering, accounting and finance, new product development, human resources and sustainability.
Graduates on the programme will have access to dedicated mentors, providing 1-to-1 coaching as well as the opportunity to take part in a bespoke management development programme.
Other training on offer includes a new Butchery Academy, North Ayrshire, which will help students develop knowledge and skills in areas such as product knowledge, learning to identify different cuts of meat and developing knife skills over a 12-14 month period.
Three apprenticeship programmes are also available at Dunbia’s Dungannon site, Northern Ireland, including: Level 2 and 3 in meat and poultry industry skills; Level 5 higher level apprenticeship in food and drink; and Level 3 diploma in engineering.
Dunbia promised ‘fast track career progression’.
