Following the withdrawal of the Challenger brand from Europe, Fendt will begin selling its range of sprayers and track tractors later this year.
In a recent statement, Agco announced Challenger track tractors and sprayers will be integrated into the Fendt product portfolio for Europe and the Middle East. This follows the withdrawal of Challenger's products from Europe.
Part of this change also includes a shift in production of sprayers from Grubbenvorst, Netherlands, to Fendt's facility in Hohnmolsen, Germany, where Fendt Katana foragers are manufactured. The firm says research and development will remain at Grubbenvorst however.
CEO of Agco/Fendt, Peter-Josef Paffen, says: "Integration of the Challenger products into the Fendt programme in Europe is in keeping with our full line strategy, and offers both customers and dealers a complimentary range of machines."
While Fendt sprayers and track tractors will get their public unveiling at Agritechnica in November, we will be finding out more about Fendt’s full-liner editions at an event in Marktoberdorf in early September.
Products in North and South America, Asia and African regions will continue to wear the Challenger name. And it is the American markets which have seen the launch of a Challenger branded 1000-Series Fendt, and a Challenger crawler fitted with a Vario continously variable transmission.
