Hollywood superstar Chris Pratt champions #farmlife in social media comeback

Jurassic World superstar Chris Pratt has turned his hand to lamb farming during a ‘much needed’ hiatus from social media.

The Hollywood star made a comeback to social media platform Instagram with a 2018 version of his #whatsmysnack feature and hinted his newfound love of farming could open the doors to a meat business.

In amongst other hashtags, he captioned the video: “Here is what to expect: #farmlife.”

Speaking in the video, he said: “Another 2018 version of #whatsmysnack? But I have eaten it all. It was spinach and lamb.

“I am doing this new blood type diet, and since I have a strain of alien blood that they have never seen before it is kind of a free-for-all with what I get to eat, and since I have been farming lamb for the past six months and fishing, I am eating lamb.

“That is right, fresh farm-to-table lamb.

“They are the happiest lambs on the planet. They are so sweet and then one day they wake up dead and in my freezer. I do not know how it even works but it is amazing.

“And if you are vegetarian I apologise – I do not mean to be insensitive but I did have a wonderful lamb lunch for my snack.”

Whilst some of his followers replied with admiration: “Woooohoooo! Farm raised anything is best! #supportlocal #wearelosingfarmers,” the post caused controversy among vegans who suggested Mr Pratt was adding to ‘the same fallacy’.

One follower said the star had an ‘ugly selfish soul’ for using his influence to ‘try to keep the ways of humans the same’: “This is such a sickening video because of how lighthearted he attempts to make it and how big his influence is with the movies. I hope Hollywood does not choose him for any other roles…his face has become synonymous with a stand for meat.”

Despite the comments, Mr Pratt went on to post a shot of the butchered lamb meat with the caption: “Look at all this glorious food! We will eat off him for a month.

‘Nuzzled, pet and loved every day’

“His wool is becoming yarn as we speak. He lived a very good life. He was groomed and shorn, his hooves medicated, de-wormed, no antibiotics necessary. Surrounded by laughing loving humans, including children to whom they provided such joy. Nuzzled, pet and loved every day.

“No stressful travel to his final destination. Trauma free. Just a touch of a USDA certified wand to his head and he goes to sleep.

“The other sheep do not even notice. It is like unplugging a TV.

“Then Wocka my butcher works his magic. Right now the meat is for friends, family and gifts. Soon though it may be available to my followers as we test recipes and open up to market.

“Gotta get some things dialled in first. I have found a new passion to add to my many others. #farmlife and Jack loves it! You will know where to sprinkle my ashes. I’ll tell you that.”
