Increased versatility from new Kverneland combi-drill

Based on the existing e-drill Maxi, this new version gains a split hopper design and dual Eldos metering units, enabling the drill to put down seed and fertiliser or companion crops. Its 2,000-litre hopper can be divided via and adjustable flap into 60:40, 70:30 or 100:0.

The hopper has also been designed so that it is closer to the tractor, reducing the lever force on the back end of the tractor. The seeding units have also been positioned to the side of the hopper for easier calibration. Working widths are three, 3.5 and four metres, with prices starting from £35,622.

In addition, the firm’s S-Series power harrow has been tinkered with, to both strengthen and reduce the weight. A new three-layer construction sees 150kg weight saving over the previous three metre machine, which is capable of taking 250hp through its gearbox. Quick fit tines are standard and there are four rotors per meter working width. A euro-type connection is used to secure the seed bar attachment.
