A man in his mid-30s has been airlifted to hospital after trapping both his legs in a potato grading machine in Malton, North Yorkshire.
The man, who has not yet been named, was airlifted to Hull Royal Infirmary after a call was taken by North Yorkshire Ambulance Service at 8:15am on Wednesday morning (November 25).
A spokesperson from North Yorkshire fire and rescue service said: "Crews were contacted by Ambulance control to a male aged mid-30s who had both legs trapped inside a potato grading machine.
"Crews from Sherburn, Malton and Scarborough were mobilised with an officer and met air ambulance and road ambulance crews at scene who assisted with the release of the casualty using hydraulic cutting equipment.
"The male was taken to hospital via air ambulance with bruising to the legs however the full extent of the injuries sustained are not known at this stage."
