More than 100 John Deere tractors to sell in Hawk Group dispersal

The group based at Prees, north Shropshire, included Hawk Plant Hire, one of the UK’s largest independent plant hire operations, before administrators from EY were appointed.

Employing some 420 members of staff the group majority owned by Mr and Mrs Michael Hawkins made a pre-tax profit of £515,049 on £93.5 million turnover in 2017.

Highlight of the sale is the 130 tractors up for sale. A bit of a green and yellow fest, there are two JD 8370Rs on 16 plates, 15 JD 6215Rs of the same vintage, 36 JD 6155Rs and 20 JD145Rs also just three years old, among others. Adding a different colour to the mix is a trio of 2017 JCB 4220 Fastracs and a 2017 New Holland T7.315 on 1155 hours.

Some 72 telehandlers are also for sale, mainly JCB and mainly construction-spec machines. There is however a 2017 JCB 531-70 Agri Super Loadall, with Q-Fit headstock.

On top of this, there are 75 excavators of varying size and makes, 80 ag-trailers, 35 dozers and over 100 ag-implements.
