Police have appealed for information after more than two dozen sheep were stolen from Hardacre, Bentham.

Thieves snuck away with around 25 to 30 Swaledale Gimmer Hogg sheep between Monday March 20 and Friday March 24 from a neighbouring farm to Newby Moor, Clapham.

North Yorkshire Police said they believed the sheep were taken via Newby Moor.

A spokesman said: “Anyone with information that could assist the investigation should contact us on 101, option 2 and ask for Barbara Parsons.

“If you wish to remain anonymous, you can pass information to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

“Please quote the North Yorkshire Police reference number 12170049726.”
