Armed with an 8,000hp, methanol-powered tractor, tea-loving truck mechanic Guy Martin tries his hand at the world of tractor pulling.
Not one to shy away from a challenge, Guy Martin’s latest venture was his most powerful yet.
Teaming up with Team Whittingham Tractor Pulling, Guy got to experience the power and ferocity this mother of all motor sports has to offer. Dubbed as the world’s most powerful motor sport, guy got to pilot two of the sport’s most legendary tractors; Snoop 3 and Snoopy 4.
Competing in the Heavy Modified and Modified classes, each tractor features two, V12, Rolls Royce Mk58 Griffon engines, producing in the region of 6-7,000hp for Snoopy 3, and up to 10,000hp for Snoopy 4.
The event took place during the North West Tractor Pulling Club’s annual August bank holiday tractor pulling extravaganza, where tractor pulling teams from all over Europe come to compete.
Filmed as part of a new TV programme, whereby Guy will be attempting to smash a world tractor land speed record with JCB, we were lucky enough to grab a quick insight with Guy as to how his runs went, and what he made of the tractor pulling sport.
