The Government must be proactive in winning new markets if the livestock sector is to take advantage of the ‘tremendous opportunity’ from Brexit.

Mr Dodds said he was aware these agreements took time and commitment so to be ready with deals in place post-Brexit, the work needed to be done now and was pleased ministers were now talking about transition periods.
