Woman, 20, dies after incident with farm machinery

A young farmer has died while operating machinery on a farm in Dawlish, South Devon.

The incident happened on Saturday afternoon (March 4).

Air ambulances attended the scene but the woman later died in hospital.

The Health and Safety Executive confirmed it is investigating alongside Devon and Cornwall Police.

It came as the second farm fatality in March, following a surge of more than four times the ten year average for farm deaths in February.
