The deal includes Strautmann’s main product ranges; trailed and self-propelled vertical auger diet feeders, forage wagons, and rear discharge muck spreaders.

Formerly imported by Reco, who recently announced it would be closing next year, Opico will take on the responsibility for technical support and supply of parts for Strautmann machines already on-farm from January 1, 2016, and will be working with the existing Strautmann dealer network.

Opico’s James Woolway says; “I’m very pleased to take on what I consider to be the market-leading machinery ranges in the areas of fodder transport and feeding technology.

“Strautmann is a very focussed company which is investing heavily in research and development.”
