Project to bridge disconnect between farmers and media awarded £20,000

The scheme, Just Farmers, was set up by journalist and broadcaster Anna Jones and already has 24 ‘graduates’ who have made a commitment to being available for interview and allowing the media on to their farms.

“This grant will help individual farmers, from all sectors and systems, feel as comfortable talking to the media and urban audiences as they do in their own communities.

“I want to inspire farmers to feel proud of their story, so they can tell it again and again.”

Farmers interested in taking part in the training can download a questionnaire from the Just Farmers website.
