Leading the trade was a lot from the Ronick herd from R. Dick, Stirling. This was the April 2016-born maiden heifer Ronick Meribel, a daughter of the 17,000gns Rathconville Eugene, out of Fictive. It sold to local buyer Steven Wilson, Corby Hill.

Next up was Ronick Ladida, a heifer by Ampertaine Elgin and out of Ronick Ida. In-calf to Broadmeadows Cannon, it went home with T.W. Oliver, Haltwhistle, for 8,500gns.

A bid of 7,500gns was made by Iain Graham, Dalston, for the heifer Ronick Modesty. Out of Ronick Flossy, the 12-month-old is also by Elgin.

Turning to the other sales, and a lot from the Rachels herd from D. and M.L.P. Woolhouse, Driffield, sold for 8,000gns. This was paid for the 2008-born cow Rachels Desire, and its November-born Millington Fiat-sired heifer calf, Rachels Misty. Back in-calf to Fiat, Desire is by Ronick Upshot out of Rachels Babe, and caught the eye of Millington Limousins, York.

The Stephick herd from Stephanie Dick, Stirling, also presented a small selection of cattle. Top price was 6,200gns for the January 2012-born cow Stephick Hallelujah, a daughter of Fieldson Topaz out of Bastille. It sold with its Ampertaine Jamboree-sired heifer calf to Mr Graham.

An entry of six maiden heifers from the Lodge herd of W. and A. Callion, Stirling, hit 3,800gns for the April 2016-born Lodge Mirage. By Cloughhead Charlie, it is out of Lodge Image, and sold to J.W.T Knaggs, Darlington.
