Trailer manufacturer Ifor Williams was the unwitting star of a very unusual social media campaign thanks to two Hollywood actors, Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney.
Mr Reynolds and Mr McElhenney, who announced their takeover of beleaguered football club Wrexham this week, starred in their own spoof advert for the North Wales based firm.
The video, which featured the duo promoting the club’s sponsor, was viewed more than 4.7 million times and attracted worldwide attention.
In it, Mr McElhenney and Mr Reynolds suggest purchasing an Ifor Williams Trailer for ‘someone special this holiday’ rather than a scarf or sweater.
“Nothing says I am thinking about you and your horse like Ifor Williams Trailers,” Mr Reynolds said.
