Samson has launched a new range of tankers, the TG-series. The manufacturer says it is built on known and proven technology from both the Samson PG and PG II series. Keeping weight to a minimum, as increasingly strict road regulations in export markets was a key driver says the manufacturer.
It has included features such as the its Ejector system, the venturi-effect filling system. It uses a vacuum, which is only generated in the ejector pipe system and not in the entire slurry tanker, thus keeping weight down.
Under optimal conditions pressure drops down to -0.9 bar, creating a filling capacity of up to 6000 L/min.
At the rear, a three-point linkage has a 3.8 tonne capacity, for mounting implements. At present two models will be offered, the 18 cu.m TG18 and 20 cu.m TG20
In addition, the company has also developed a new control system for its tankers. SlurryMaster 5000 offers job documentation, a user-friendly interface and a variety of automatic functions. It has been developed in conjunction with the TG series.
Based on a 7” touch screen with multi-functional navigation wheel, it is possible to connect a flow meter and wheel steering as a combination or independent of each other.
Niels Haubjerg, product manager at Samson Agro A/S says; “The SlurryMaster 5000 makes new combinations possible. We have adapted the strong functions from SlurryMaster 8000 and put them into a user friendly and elegant interface, which naturally makes SlurryMaster 5000 a strong supplement to our control systems: tractor hydraulics, SlurryMaster 3000, 6000 and 8000.
“We have developed the SlurryMaster 5000 for customers, who want to have a control system fitted exactly to their needs.”
The control system features Samson’s automation technology, providing smart interaction between the control unit and slurry tanker and implement. For example, SlurryMaster 5000 offers implement control with up to 5 individual programs, which makes it easy to switch between different implements and make specific setups for every implement that can be stored and reused for optimum use of the implement.
The terminal saves up to 10 customer jobs, which are exportable via USB. This will help operators fully document jobs done in the field. Also, the changing of mode between filling, road and field modes is done through the new control system. This includes convenient features for operators such as fully automatic switching on and off of working lights during transport, filling or field work.
