Shropshire man killed by rolling tractor

A man has died after he was hit by a tractor that rolled down a ’steep hill’.

Emergency services attended the scene on Arbour Lane, Bishops Castle after the driver became trapped underneath the vehicle and died following a cardiac arrest.

A West Mercia Police spokesperson said: “We were called around 2pm on Monday to reports of a single collision involving a blue tractor in a field near to Arbour Lane.

“The driver of the tractor, a man in his 60s, was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.”

The man has not yet been named.

The Health and Safety Executive has been made aware of the incident and are continuing to investigate.
