SIMA 2019: Muck, slurry and transport equipment highlights from the show

French machinery manufacturer Sodimac launched a new spreader, to complement its existing Rafal range.

The Performer spreaders are narrow body machines, differentiated from the existing models by more profiled steel for reinforcement, particularly around the top of the machine.

Two horizontal beaters tease muck apart, before a pair of 1.1m diameter discs spread it. Four single axle machines between 15 and 18.5cu.m and three tandem models from 17 to 20cu.m are available.

Spread widths of 24m are achievable, with rates as low as 1t/ha able to be applied.

Dangreville Slurry-One 22 tanker

Dangreville Slurry-One 22 tanker

Nothing about the Dangreville machinery is small, and that extends to the company’s latest slurry tanker.

The 22,000 litre behemoth sits on two axles, one of which is driven, curtesy of Black Bruin drive hubs, shod on 710mm rubber.

Equipped with 12 metre dribble bars, filing is done with a 200mm diameter arm. Between the main pump and an accelerator on the arm, filling is said to be done at a rate of over 21,000l/min, and two macerators on the dribble bar keep pipes from blocking.

Asking price for the full-spec machine on show is €120,000 (£102,500).

Pichon Muck Master M2070 spreader

Pichon Muck Master M2070 spreader

Pichon has updated the spreader deck on its M2070 Series of muck spreaders. The new spreader deck now features 1,200mm discs with six blades fitted for increased accuracy of the spread pattern - over 24m.

Large 850mm diameter, horizontally mounted beaters throw the muck at the now Teflon coated rear hood, said to give the machine extra life span. Power is split between the beaters and discs, preventing damage if blockages occur and to allow the beaters to operate at 420 rpm and the discs to spin at 650 rpm.

Prices start from €35,000 (£29,900) for the 20cu.m spreader.

Gourdon high-tip chaser bin

Gourdon high-tip chaser bin

Designed to be a high-capacity chaser bin, French-based trailer specialist Gourdon revealed its brand new TBG range of high-tip trailers.

Able to handle all manner of crops from small seeds to bulky root crops, the trailer is available as two models; the TBG 200 with a 10t/20cu.m capacity and the TBG 330 with a 15t/33cu.m bunker.

Options include a conveyor belt in place of one of the trailers’ sides, which when raised and tipped, aids the unloading of sticky crops. Tracks can also be specified to spread the load, supplied by Sly, as can rear wheel steering, cameras, weighing system and PTO-driven hydraulics.

Power requirement for the largest model is about 200hp. Retail prices start from €39,700 for the smallest model.

Albach Diamant 2000 wood chipper

For serious wood chipping operations, Albach’s Diamant 2000 self-propelled chipper should make the cut.

Sat on 42 inch wheels and equipped with four wheel drive, the unit is said to be able to get nearly anywhere. Powered by a 700hp, 16.1-litre Volvo engine, its veracious appetite can process up to 500cu.m of chip per hour.

The Gen 7 knife rotor processes chip from 15mm to 60mm at 420rpm, with it able to swallow timber 1,230mm by 980mm. The on board crane can lift 1,000kg at its 10m full reach. A two speed powershift transmission is capable of 70kph road speeds.
