The first at this money was the Leading Ladies champion, Corskie Enita, a September 2013-born heifer by Greencap Ace out of Corskie Anita from W.J. and J. Green, Fochabers. It sold, in-calf to Dirnanean Bradley, the 2014 Royal Highland Show champion, to Harry Houdley, Lockerbie.

Second to Enita in the class and also reserve champion was Midhope Entise, by Delfur Chas 11 out of Midhope Champagne, and in-calf to Woodhall Everhart 13.

Consigned by the Hollingsworth family, Sheffield, it sold for 5,000gns to P. Jolliffe, Stafford. The same vendors also sold two heifers, Midhope Faye and Midhope Fran, both by Delfur Chas 11 and both in-calf to Everhart, to H. and D.M. Forster, Hexham, for 3,100gns and 3,000gns respectively.

Another heifer from the Greens, Corskie Easter, a Corskie Bowen daughter, again in-calf to Dirnanean Bradley, made 3,600gns to N. Shand, Ellon, Aberdeenshire.

Midhopes Farmer's Friend 14

The Hollingsworths also led the male section taking the championship and top price of 4,700gns with October 2014-born bull, Midhope Farmer’s Friend, another by Delfur Chas and out of Midhope Bloom. It was knocked down to Auchencheyne, Thornhill, Dumfriesshire.

Next at 4,600gns from Messrs Green was May 2014-born Corskie Flynn 14 by Dirnanean Bradley out of Corskie Bonnie. The buyer was Newbottle Estate Farms, Brackley, Northamptonshire. From the same home selling for 4,400gns was Corskie Fries 14, another son of Bradley which went to J. Muir and Son, Mouswald, Dumfries.

Denizes Fortune 14, an October 2014-born son of Auroch Ace out of Denizes Trixie-Belle 3 from Barlow Brothers, Leyland, Lancashire, sold for 4,200gns to R.C. Robinson, Harrogate.
