Sulky Burel launches UK sales subsidiary

As part of the company’s strategy to develop its farm equipment brand in European export markets, specialist fertiliser spreader and seed drill manufacturer Sulky-Burel has launched a UK sales subsidiary.

After France and Germany, the UK represents the next largest European farm machinery market for the French company. The new subsidiary, Sulky Burel UK Ltd, is said to provide opportunities for closer relationships with the UK market and direct contact with UK farmers, namely to improve feedback and product development.

A number of agricultural dealers across the UK have already agreed to distribute Sulky products which prior to November 1, 2015 were marketed exclusively through UK importer Reco.

Based in Bourne, Lincolnshire, the Sulky Burel UK headquarters shares sales and technical teams with Gregoire Besson UK. Sulky and Gregoire Besson produce complementary products and this collaboration enables the two brands to offer UK farmers a wide equipment portfolio, says Sulky. Promotion, sales and after-sales service is provided by a team of eight in the Bourne office, where a logistics centre for spare parts is also located.

Information on participating dealerships is available from the Sulky Burel UK office.
