Two men were treated for injuries following an ‘agricultural incident’ involving a heifer at Welshpool Livestock Market on Monday.
Both the air ambulance and ambulance service attended.
A Welsh Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We were called on January 13 at approximately 9.24am to reports of two patients needing medical attention at Welshpool Livestock Market, Welshpool.
“We responded with two emergency ambulances and the crew were supported by Wales Air Ambulance. Two patients were transported by road to Royal Shrewsbury Hospital.”
A Wales Air Ambulance spokesperson confirmed its Welshpool-based aircraft attended the “agricultural incident” and that its flying medics treated patients at the scene.
The Health and Safety Executive has said it was ‘aware of the incident’ and would await more details and the extent of any injuries before a decision was taken on whether it will investigate.
