Representing a major milestone in the history of the Lamma Show, 2019 saw the UK’s largest farm machinery and technology event move completely indoors for the first time.

'What a great success' - visitors impressed as Lamma Show thrives at new NEC home

Insulated from any inclement weather, the NEC in Birmingham provided visitors with an opportunity to view a vast wealth of farming kit available in the UK.

 

Over 650 exhibitors hosted UK and global machinery and product launches included tractors, combines, drills and cultivation equipment, as well as plenty of innovative technology from smaller agricultural companies.

Day one saw a variety of product launches including:

  • Weaving Machinery’s GD6001T drill, with a compact design for a big working width
  • A preview of Merlo’s high capacity telehandler with a 6.5t lift and 9m lift capacity
  • Claydon’s T6C compact drill, an update of their current popular T6 version
  • JCB unveiled a new CommandPlus Cab, which slashed in-cab noise levels by 50%
  • The 1254 Lux CRD4 from Armatrac, powered by a 120hp Deutz engine
  • McCormick’s four-cylinder X7 series P6-drive tractors, from 141hp to 176hp with ’power boost’ on all models
  • Manitou unveiled the Skid Steer Loader, and launched the Pivot Steer 516-75H
  • The new A series powershift transmission was unveiled by Valtra
  • Fendt’s Ideal Combine, developed from scratch for perfect results

And visitors to the show’s NEC debut were impressed...
