It took around an hour-and-a-half to free the woman, using hydraulic cutting equipment, before she was flown to Morriston Hospital in Wales.

A Wales Air Ambulance spokeswoman said: “I can confirm that Wales Air Ambulance attended an incident involving an adult woman in the Tregaron, Ceredigion, area yesterday.

“We arrived on scene at 2.06pm and left the scene at 3.30pm.

“We airlifted the patient to Morriston Hospital, arriving at 3.54pm.”

A Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said: “We attended a farm in the Tregaron area, having received the call at around 1.57pm.

“Three appliances attended and one casualty was released from a tractor with hydraulic cutting gear and small gear.

“She was then flown to hospital by the Wales Air Ambulance.”
