Yara collaborate with Muddy Boots to deliver better advice

Yara have announced that their My Yara portal will now work with Muddy Boots’ Greenlight Grower Management platform, offering customers additional nutrient feedback and recommendations.

The new functionality will make it possible for growers to get field specific fertiliser recommendations based on information already entered in Greenlight Grower Management. Customers not on the system can still make use of nutrient management plan (NMP) capabilities and receive recommendations by entering information through My Yara online

Agronomy and business development manager at Yara says: For the first time, agronomists and farmers can use real-time suggestions and insights to make crop management decisions that lead to the most profitable output.

“Until now, farm planning software has been quite static and reactive. The combined functionality of My Yara and Greenlight Grower Management turns this into a fully dynamic process. “

Paul Thomas, business development manager at Muddy Boots says: “This connectivity makes it easier for farmers to get the best advice, and stops repetitive data entry in multiple systems.

“Farmers will receive personalised nutrient requirements for each crop and field, full traceability and fertilizer plans to match specific requirements. This Yara Nutrient Planning within Greenlight Grower Management is already a unique service and further developments will soon bring a revolutionary approach to UK farmers.”

My Yara is open to users now and the complete functionality of the integration with Muddy Boots will be made publicly available for the upcoming season.
