Both know only too well that work on a farm does not stop just because the conditions are poor. In fact, the worse the weather, the more work there usually is to do.

Betacraft was set up by David Beatson, whose experience serving in World War Two made him aware of the demands of outdoor life and the importance of always being prepared.

 

By the time he arrived back home in New Zealand his perspective on life had dramatically altered and he made the decision to trade his city job for rural life.

 

He started a business out of his garage supplying and repairing horse and cow covers but eventually turned his attention to outdoor workwear, developing a reputation for garments that were robust, durable and unfailingly waterproof.

Now in its fourth generation, Betacraft remains a family business committed to producing professional grade, long lasting gear that can withstand even the most extreme conditions.
