We are working with one of the largest Agri-business’ in the UK helping them to bring some fresh talent to their very successful farm trading team. They work very closely with the rural population getting involved with local events and building meaningful relationships with farmers and businesses alike.
Within this role you would be expected to push and develop the business, products and services provided in line with agreed targets to ensure constant growth. It is also an opportunity to get involved with the local community and develop new and existing relationships which will contribute to overall growth. This would allow you to buy grain, oilseeds and pulses from new and existing suppliers to hit targets and maximise the potential of each customer. You would also be competent at selling seed and fertiliser from approved suppliers to the client base, after each commodity has been tested.
As part of this role you would be working with agronomists, internal managers and grain storage professionals so a fantastic degree of communication skills at all levels is essential to succeeding and working successfully as a team.
A Successful Candidate?
To be successful in this role you would possess the following characteristics:
A strong and proven commercial awareness and success in dealing with farmers in previous roles. Trading or Sales would be preferable.
The ability to build and maintain relationships with existing and new business, along with the resilience to maintain steady growth.
An excellent skill set, high numeracy and literacy along with good Microsoft Office skills.
FACTS Qualification preferable.
