Senior Ecologist

Our client is a vibrant, forward thinking ecological consultancy that offers a wide range of ecological services such as habitat and protected species surveys, EIA and mitigation. Their services provide clients with advice and support throughout the lifecycle of every project. They are able to tailor their services to each individual client needs and draw on a wealth of experience to provide a broad range of ecological solutions. They currently require a Senior Ecologist to join their team base in Warwickshire. The role will involve managing a comprehensive range of projects conducting habitat and species surveys and ecological impact assessments. The successful candidate will be expected to liaise with clients and colleagues and contribute to the production of reports and presentations. The successful candidate will also be required to mentor junior team members and contribute to the development of the business. Applicants must hold a first degree in Ecology or a related discipline and have at least three years professional experience as an ecologist. A genuine enthusiasm for ecology and the environment is required as well as strong species identification skills. Experience of EcIA and the relevant survey techniques is essential as is a thorough knowledge of UK wildlife legislation. IEEM membership would be an advantage as would a protected species license. Applicants must be able to work well within a team environment and hold a full driving license. In return, the company are offering an excellent remuneration package commensurate with experience.
