Farmers Guardian has joined forces with 21 key industry stakeholders from across the farming sector to launch a new campaign, #ThisIsAgriculture, to promote careers in agriculture, collaborating with industry bodies and our industry partners to see how and where we can work together to shape the political agenda, drive educational reform and provide learning resources.

Agriculture is an exciting, pioneering and dynamic industry to work in and we are proud to be joining forces with other organisations to drive this message to the masses, dispelling myths along the way.

Important Factors for the Work Environment

Farmers Guardian commissioned a survey asking 16 - 35 year olds what young people wanted to achieve from their careers and what could attract new talent into agriculture.

Of almost 1,800 respondents, the survey highlighted a lack of understanding around the opportunities the industry can offer.

Helping others, job security, career development and a work/life balance were important factors the demographic wanted from their careers. Below are the headline findings which inspired the launch of an industry-backed campaign we are proud to call #ThisIsAgriculture.
