A Word from the Editor

These are challenging times for all and so I wanted share with you what we are doing here at Arable Farming and The CropTec Show to ensure we keep you informed and up to date in the coming weeks and months as measures to manage the Covid-19 pandemic are implemented. Our whole team is now home-based and will continue to keep our readers, whether print or online users, in touch with the latest news and technical information. Farming is interwoven within the fabric of our society on so many levels. And as normal life for many of us changes beyond recognition, farmers and growers will continue to do their job, producing food for the nation’s plates. Which is why we will remain alongside you at this time of such uncertainty. Latest news As the growing season unfolds, we will be reporting on the latest technical and agronomy news from across the arable sector and across the country. And we will bring you the latest news from the grain markets, keeping an eye on global trends and local developments. Arable Farming will be published as normal and content from the magazine can also be accessed online at arablefarming.com. You can also keep abreast of arable sector news by registering for the arable and grain marketing e-newsletters at fginsight.com, where you will also find coverage of wider farming news issues as they develop. Planning is ongoing for The CropTec Show, due to take place in November and, with an eye on better times ahead, we hope you will keep up to date with show developments and agritech news at croptecshow.com and via Linkedin and Twitter @CropTecShow. All of our lines of communication remain open, so please keep in touch. Keep safe. JThe nation needs – and is relying – on UK farmers to do what they do best and produce the food to keep us eating. Join us in saluting the fantastic work the UK agricultural industry is doing as the British Farming Awards open on Friday, April 3. To register your interest, head over to britishfarmingawards.co.uk
