I remember the excitement of joining Culm Valley YFC in Devon at the age of 16 and being thrown into representing the club at an East Devon round of Debating for my first ever public speaking competition.
I was nervous, but so pleased when I managed to do it
Like so many other past and present members, Young Farmers has helped me towards achieving my full potential by giving me:
A: Being inspired by so many talented young members across England and Wales who have an incredible energy for life.
A: The future is bright - we have a diverse and growing membership and if elected to Chair I plan to:
Blood Donation Campaign – ‘Young Farmers the Life Blood of the Rural Community’
Club Exchange Programme – refreshing this fantastic concept to encourage clubs from across England and Wales to do exchanges for the benefit of having fun, sharing ideas and creating a wider network of friends
Regional YFC AGRI Discussion Groups – in conjunction with key farming and food industry partners set up regional Young Farmers discussion groups that are focussed on members that wish to have a future in farming and are willing to learn and share in progressive farming techniques, business skills and market awareness.
