YFC in 5 words according to @NFYFC vice chair, Jess Townson - Competitions, Friends, Fun, Skills and Experiences #yfcdoitbest
Q: What is the strangest thing you have done as part of YFC?
I ran up and down Blackpool beach in a Farmers Guardian t-shirt whilst eating candyfloss, drinking milk and eating cockles for a Farmers Guardian challenge during Annual Convention!
Q: What competition would you like to see which isn't already included in YFC?
Sheep Dog Trials.
I am not a huge lover of sheep personally, but it's always nail biting to watch on the television so I'm sure it would be hugely competitive and a great spectator competition!
Q: Describe your YFC career in five words
Q: When did you join YFC?
A: I joined Bolton-by-Bowland Young Farmers in 2004 at the age of 15.
Q: What does the future look like for YFC?
A: I would hope for us as a federation to be able to build on recent new initiatives such as the National Young Farmers Week and our training weekends and events to raise the profile of NFYFC nationally and enhance the skill sets and experiences of our members.
